We are Anaïs and Jos Gouma and proud owners of two Labradors named Wokkel and Doortje.

We bought Wokkel in 2017, and she has ignited our love for the Labrador breed. Anaïs got to know the hunting dog sport through Wokkel, and fell in love with it. Because this has become such a big hobby, we have made the choice to buy a second Labrador, and to choose this one from working lines to further expand the hobby in the hunting dog sport.

In 2021 Doortje joined us. Doortje is exactly what we were looking for. A sweet dog, with a golden character, but also one with an enormous drive to work. When Doortje grew up, the desire arose to start breeding the field trial labrador.

The field trial labrador is a labrador that is bred for working. The passion, drive and body structure that this labrador has is different from the labrador that is often seen walking on the street. When purchasing this type, the challenge that these dogs need must certainly be taken into account.

We live in the picturesque Brielle, near Rotterdam. We spend a lot of time in this area with our dogs.

Our kennel name is inspired by our engagement location. Lake Crescent is a large lake located in the north of Olympic National Park, in Washington, America. It is a super beautiful reflecting lake, which will always remain a special place for us, if you are in the area we definitely recommend to visit it! To combine this memory with our greatest hobby, our dogs, we have chosen the kennel name Lake Crescent.
