We intend to have Doortje (Doortje van Attelaken - Beautiful Hunter Pearl x Blackthorn Ufo) mated with Cider (FTW Marstonprior Grenadier of Wedgnock - Kytewycke Woodcock of Marstonprior x FTCH Sothebys Choice of Wedgnock) during her next heat (mid-April).

Doortje is a friendly bitch with a sweet character. She is driven in her work, without losing her calmness. She is very boss-oriented and likes to work together. This year we had a successful competition season, with multiple placements in the Novice and a final place in both the Netherlands and Belgium. This year she also achieved her SJP A.

Cider, the male of Steve Richardson of the Wedgnock kennel, is a son of Steve's FTCH Sothebys Choice of Wedgnock, who won the Skinners 2023 together with his team. On his mother's side, Cluanie - FTCH Birdsgreen Cluedo of Wedgnock is his grandfather. Cider is therefore a combination of two top dogs that Steve himself has had. He is 'easy to train' and this year, despite his young age, has won a field trial and achieved several placements at both one- and two-day trials. Cider also became Guns Choice at a 2-day trial.

In 2024 he was part of the England Gundog Team for the Skinners Worldcup (4th place), Scone Game Fair (3rd place), Game Fair (3rd place) and Scottish Game Fair, and has also achieved several placings at Open WT's. As well as being a good worker, Cider is an incredibly sweet and friendly dog.
